An Army Veteran, he served his country faithfully during World War II. He was preceded in death by six brothers-Coy, Roy, Robert, Claude, Obie and Elmer Abbott and two sisters-Lona Abbott and Minnie Vaughn. and three grandchildren three great-grandchildren. one sister-Dorothy Coffey, of Monticello, Ky. one daughter-Reeda Sue Worley, of Oklahoma City, Okla. He is also survived by one son-David Abbott, of Somerset, Ky. He was united in marriage to Geneva Anderson, who survives. He was born on Main Monticello, Ky., the son of the late George and Artie Abbott.
